SUPWell Ireland, run by Caroline Young, offers unique experiences for all levels—from first-timers to seasoned paddlers. Enjoy sunrise or sunset SUP yoga and sauna sessions, and discover how nature can boost your wellbeing. All equipment is provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

Derrymore Springs is a hidden oasis set in peaceful farmland, offering a fun-filled escape with activities like kayaking, pedal boating, swimming, a mini water park, fishing, and nature walks.

Its crystal-clear, manmade lake is designed for all ages, making it a safe space for both land and water adventures.

They also offer late-evening kayaking, a magical experience from dusk into night—complete with sunset views, moonlight reflections, and starry skies. Life jackets and instructors ensure safety throughout.

Lilliput Adventure Centre is located in Jonathan Swift Park, on the shores of Lough Ennell, approx. 10 minutes from Mullingar town. It’s fabulous, unspoilt beauty, along with forests and lake, offer a unique and idyllic location for our Adventure Centre. Activities include canoeing, kayaking, hill walking, raft building and rock climbing.

For maximum excitement, the family with love Baysports Water Park, Ireland’s largest inflatable waterpark. Located about an hour’s drive from Castle Varagh Hotel, the water park features award winning floating slides, rockers and challenges that are suitable for all ages and abilities. Bring a picnic or grab a coffee at the BayCafe to refuel after an action-packed water adventure.

Castle VaraghHotel is locatedin the heart of Ireland’s Lake Country which is internationally renowned for angling and its rich fish stocks.

Lough Derravaragh, a 2,768-acre limestone lough, is a ten-minute drive from the hotel and a key destination for trout angling, sizeable pike and coarse fish such as roach, bream, bream hybrids and tench.

Similarly, Lough Lene is a ten-minute drive from the hotel and known as a destination for fly fishing and international angling competitions. At depths to 20 metres, this stunning blue flag lough is acclaimed for its purity and clarity and is well stocked with wild trout.
